THE SOAPOLOGY STORY.....

Soapology was established in 2011 by Emma Grosse.  Based in Nottinghamshire, Soapology retail their Handcrafted Artisan Soaps via their website and also sell wholesale to selected retailers across the UK nationwide. 

Emma began her journey in to soap-making by chance.  After making natural body scrubs and skincare products for herself and her friends and family, she was often told that they were superior to shop bought alternatives and that she should begin selling them.  Soapology was born.  After months of research, trial batches and logistics, Emma began trading at local markets and events across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.

Fast forward 9 years, and now in 2020 Emma has decided to focus solely on her best selling range of Handcrafted Artisan Soap Bars and discontinue her other product ranges in order to focus on her passion - Soapmaking.

 

SOAPOLOGY STUDIO

Emma has taught herself the Art of Soapmaking - what she considers a collaboration of Art, Science and Maths and also enjoys teaching others the skills to make their own soaps.  Soapology Studio was born in 2014 and Emma holds regular group soap making workshops and also teaches one-to-one sessions from her Soapmaking Studio in Farndon, Nottinghamshire.

PALM OIL

The soap bars that we produce are 100% natural and palm oil free.  We choose not to use palm oil as we are uncomfortable with contributing to deforestation of the natural habitat of orang-utans and other wildlife who call the forests of Indonesia their home.  We also believe that with much hard work and many trial batches we have created a recipe that is superior to others that do contain palm oil.

 

HOMELESSNESS & GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

We are also committed to supporting Homelessness charities across the UK and have pledged to donate one bar of soap for every ten bars purchased to Framework, a charity supporting vulnerable and homeless people in the Nottinghamshire area.

DESIGN

Our soap bars are beautifully designed and look great in any bathroom or by any kitchen sink.  We have chosen and blended our Essential Oils carefully for their therapeutic benefits and also use only natural colourants either in pretty swirls or layers or as a solid colour.  We get pleasure from creating an aesthetically pleasing piece of art that is not only great for your skin but also looks great when not in use too.

 

SKIN LOVING INGREDIENTS

All of our Handcrafted Artisan Soap Bars are created with love using only 100% natural ingredients.  Each bar is unique and made in small quality controlled batches to ensure that each is perfect.  We use wonderful skin nourishing oils such as Coconut Oil and Sunflower Oil which working together with other oils create a creamy moisturising conditioning bar of soap that is long lasting.
